Kim Montalvo is a Christian singer/songwriter. Her songs reflect God’s great love and mercy. Kim knows first-hand what it’s like to be the recipient of not just one miracle, but two.
In November 2000, after living on dialysis for four years, a friend, Daniel, donated one of his kidneys to Kim, saving her life. During her time on dialysis, she was twice diagnosed with thyroid cancer. After two surgeries and intense treatment, Kim was cleared of cancer. Sickness nearly claimed Kim’s life, but God had other plans for her.
Kim celebrates her miracles through her songs, giving God all the glory and honor. Her hope is that her music touches those who hear it and encourages them to never stop believing in the power of God.
A few of Kim’s singing credits include singing the National Anthem for the 76ers twice, for the Phillies and for the Camden River Sharks. Kim, alongside her living donor, performs in her band called Special K Band at weddings, private events, and for non-profit organizations such as the Gift of Life Donor Program of Philadelphia and others.
